Local leaders favour the Fleadh

Civic and business leaders in Newry have voiced their support for Iúr Cinn Fleadh – as well as providing sponsorship.

WATER FESTIVAL

‘Newry Business Improvement District (Newry BID) is delighted to be co-joint sponsor of Iúr Cinn Fleadh along with Newry, Mourne and Down District Council,’ said Newry BID Manager Eamonn Connolly.

‘This is an important event for our businesses to attract visitors into the city as we bring to a close the summer season. During the Fleadh there will also be a Water Festival and Newry BID’s Summer In The City programme of events and activities will be ongoing, so there truly will be something for everyone.

‘I would encourage you to check out the programmes and follow updates to see what is happening and come out to support this fantastic festival.’

Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, Councillor Valerie Harte, said, ‘Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are delighted to be associated with this wonderful Fleadh – and particularly so given we are one of your sponsors.
