Newry entertainment venue Bellini’s have thrown themselves into the Fleadh with energy and enthusiasm. They’re staging two folk concerts over the festival weekend.
The Fresh As Folk duo will be performing at 8.30pm on Friday 25 August, and the Andrea Rice Band will be playing at 9pm on Saturday 26 August.
Fresh As Folk (pictured) play guitar and fiddle, and work their way through a varied repertoire that can include material from traditional Irish to Garth Brooks, The Waterboys and even Manchester’s finest, Mike McGoldrick.
The Andrea Rice Band describe themselves as an ‘Irish folk and ballad family group’ consisting of guitar, acoustic bass, bodhran and fiddle.
It’s going to be a Fleadh-focused weekend at Bellini’s, with lots of folk sounds and fun!
